What: 11-a-side mixed hockey league
Where: Blueharts Hockey Club, Lucas Lane, Hitchin, SG5 2LT
When: June - August. Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday evenings
Time: From 7pm
- This year we're introducing two tiers of play, giving teams the flexibility to choose their preferred level when signing up.
- Matches are expected to be played in a competitive but friendly manner appropriate to mixed hockey; players must take into consideration the playing standard of those around them and play safe hockey
- Players should only play for 1 team per week – excluding GKs
- Matches will be played under England Hockey rules, with a few exceptions;
- Matches will be 11-a-side, but teams must have a minimum of 5 female outfield players
- Matches will be 4 x 15-minute quarters
- Women’s first strike on penalty corners
- Face protection should be worn by all defending players in penalty corners (compulsory for U18s)
