Blueharts Summer Cup

WELCOME TO THE BLUEHARTS SUMMER CUP 2026

What: 11-a-side mixed hockey league

Where: Blueharts Hockey Club, Lucas Lane, Hitchin, SG5 2LT

When: May - August. Monday–Friday evenings

Time: From 7pm

  • Matches are expected to be played in a competitive but friendly manner appropriate to mixed hockey; players must take into consideration the playing standard of those around them and play safe hockey
  • Players should only play for 1 team per week – excluding GKs
  • Matches will be played under England Hockey rules, with a few exceptions; 
  • The format consists of a team of 11 players from a squad of 16. At any time during a match, a team will consist of a minimum of five (5) outfield players recorded female at birth and who are eligible for the Female category.
  • Matches will be 4 x 15-minute quarters
  • Women’s first strike on penalty corners
  • Face protection should be worn by all defending players in penalty corners (compulsory for U18s)
