The curtain came down on Blueharts Ladies 1s East Division 1 South campaign on Saturday as they beat Sudbury 4-0 to finish third in the table.
A packed Lucas Lane saw Helen Clarke open the scoring after just three minutes with Meme Brown adding the second after putting the finishing touch to a Harriet Marsh shot which was just going past the post.
Clarke then added her second and her team’s third goal, pouncing on a loose ball at the goalkeeper’s feet.
Blueharts created less after the break as they experimented with some new tactics ahead of next season’s campaign, but Lucy Nissen made it 4-0 after a deft pass from player-of-the-season Isla Watts.
The Men’s 1s finished fourth in the East Premier Division after a dramatic 4-4 draw at Upminster.
The Blues led 2-0 through goals from Matt Gardner and Seb Walton-Adams but allowed the home side to hit back and take the lead at 3-2.
Gardner levelled matter at 3-3 before Upminster restored their lead on the break.
But a good run into the D from Ethan Gaunt produced a penalty flick late on which Ben Apperly dispatched to earn a point.
The result of the day came from the Men’s 6s who clinched second spot and promotion from East Division 5 South West after a thumping 7-2 win over Welwyn Garden City.
The side didn’t exactly make things easy for themselves after conceding two goals inside the first ten minutes.
But there was no cause for alarm as four goals from Paul Krishman and one each from Freddy Baxter, Dan Kench and Gavin Bidgood saw them to the win they needed to clinch a famous promotion.
The Ladies 2s went down 4-2 to third in the table Hertford despite great goals from Ally Antoniou and Kiki Arellano.
Goalkeeper Sophia Gallagher produced some magic at the other end when she saved a penalty flick, while Sophie Featherby’s defensive display earned her the player-of-the-match award.
It was a disappointing afternoon for the Men’s 2s who went down 4-0 at home to Brentwood but goals from Harry Storey and Ben Hammond gave the Men’s 3s a 2-1 win at Potters Bar.
In the same league, the Men’s 4s beat Cheshunt 3-1 thanks to goals from Harry Sampson, Rory Williams and Will Hammond.
Jo Floor, Ella Lock and Jules Rees were all on target for the Ladies 3s as they beat Hertford 3-2 to finish their season fourth in the table.
All three goals came in the first half, while the 3s defenders came to the fore after the break with Lydia Buckland and Karen Gallagher jointly producing player-of-the match performances.
However, the Ladies 4s were beaten 5-2 at Bedford while the 5s went down 5-2 to Bedford despite goals from Abbie Johnson and Claudia Taylor.
The Men’s 5s were convincing 4-0 winners over Rickmansworth, while the 8s rounded off a hugely impressive debut season with a 7-0 thrashing of Stevenage.
Rob Trotter led the way with two, with Will Michie, Tom Payne, James Moore, Tom Flinn and Dan Holder also on the score sheet.
Harry Burgess added the player-of-the-match award to the player of the season trophy he also picked up as the 8s finished with just one defeat all season.
Goals from Hannah Ross and Izzy Marshall helped the Ladies 6s to a 2-0 win at Broxbourne but the 7s were beaten 3-0 at home by Hertford.
