2025/26 Season - Week 17

Ladies 1s faced a top-of-the-table clash away against Braintree 1s, resulting in an unfortunate 1-0 loss. Despite a dominant performance and creating numerous opportunities, the team was unable to capitalise. Caz Kumar was awarded player of the match for her efforts.

Men’s 2s secured a solid 2-0 home win against Bishops Stortford 2s.

Ladies 2s played a thrilling home game against Harpenden 1s, ending in a 2-2 draw. The Blues started strongly, with Lizzie Bayley opening the scoring from a short corner deflection. Josie Layton then doubled the lead in the second half, finishing off a great run and assist from Ally Antoniou, who was also named player of the match. However, Harpenden managed to score two quick goals in the final ten minutes to level the score.

Men’s 3s delivered a commanding 8-0 home victory over Hertford 3s. Ashley Hammond led the scoring with a hat-trick, supported by two goals from Matthew Scott, and one each from Ben Hammond, Gillan Ide, and Henry Burbidge.

Ladies 3s celebrated a 2-1 home win against Bishops Stortford 4s. Victoria Bell converted a penalty flick, and Katrina McLarty also found the back of the net to secure the points.

Men’s 4s achieved a convincing 4-1 away win against Bishops Stortford 3s, with goals coming from Harry Burgess, Charlie Moore, Daniel Harvey, and Henry Ryden.

Ladies 4s also had a successful weekend, securing a 3-1 home win against Shefford & Sandy 2s. Nic Baxter, Holly Clark, and Joanna Floor were the goal scorers.

Men’s 5s faced an away challenge against Shefford & Sandy 2s, resulting in a 4-2 loss. Harri Flinn and William Hammond scored for Blueharts.

Men’s 6s played a high-scoring home game against Bishops Stortford 4s, narrowly losing 4-5. Paul Krishman was in fine form, scoring a hat-trick, with David Moore adding another goal.

Ladies 6s enjoyed a dominant 4-0 home win against Bishops Stortford 9s. Fran Woolley opened the scoring, followed by a hat-trick from Captain Hannah Ross, including a goal from a stunning cross by Grace Winfield. The defence, featuring Lucie Cox and the Blueharts goalkeeper, effectively dealt with Stortford's limited attacks, and Haidee Graves earned player of the match for another outstanding display in the CDM position.

Men’s 7s secured a narrow 1-0 away victory against Shefford & Sandy 4s.

Men’s 8s continued their exceptional season with a commanding 5-1 home victory against Bishops Stortford 6 at Hitchin Boys' School. Captain Dan Holder scored twice, including one from a penalty corner, while Zac Thomas added a brace of contrasting finishes. Max Barton also contributed a goal in what is proving to be a breakout season for him. This sixteenth win sees Blueharts Men’s 8s crowned champions with an unassailable lead in their division!
