Blueharts teams were back in action across the leagues with a mix of hard-fought draws, emphatic victories and valuable lessons, as the season continues to gather momentum.
Blueharts Ladies’ 1s earned a deserved 1–1 draw away at Saffron Walden 1s in a match that showcased their resilience and control. After conceding from open play in the first half to trail at the break, Blueharts dominated possession after half time and created a host of chances. With five minutes remaining, a bold decision to remove the goalkeeper paid dividends, as sustained pressure was finally converted by Gabrielle Sillis to secure a hard-won point. The result keeps Blueharts second in the league, firmly in pursuit of leaders Braintree.
A convincing 5–0 home win for the Men’s 2s against Hertford 2s continued a strong run of form, with Blueharts in control throughout and keeping a clean sheet.
The Men’s 3s produced an outstanding attacking display away at Vauxhall 1s, running out 14–0 winners. Goals were shared across the squad, with Ashley Hammond scoring five, Ben Hammond netting four, Matthew Scott adding two, and further goals from Max McIntyre-Brown, Max Baiden and Piers Douglas in a dominant performance.
A tough home outing for Ladies’ 3s saw a 3–1 defeat to Hertford 2s, with Amy Williams on the scoresheet for Blueharts.
Blueharts Men’s 4s were held to a 1–1 draw away at Hertford 3s, with Joe Dalrymple finding the net in a competitive contest.
A solid 3–1 home win for Ladies’ 4s over Letchworth 3s saw goals from Elsie Burston, Holly Clarke and Tamzin Wright, rewarding a composed all-round team performance.
An excellent 3–2 away win for Men’s 5s at Royston 2s kept momentum going, with goals from Philip Britton, Harry Sampson and Peter Mitchell sealing the points.
A narrow 2–1 home loss for Men’s 6s to Luton Town 2s saw Blueharts battle throughout, with William Michie scoring the goal.
The Ladies’ 6s delivered a strong 6–1 home win against Letchworth 5s. After an early Blueharts goal and a brief Letchworth equaliser, sustained pressure before half time produced a 3–1 lead. The second half saw Blueharts remain defensively solid while adding three more goals. Grace Winfield scored a hat-trick, Annabelle Hone added two, and captain Hannah Ross also found the net despite playing with a well-wrapped broken finger. Player of the match honours went to Haidee Graves and Pedzi Gororo for standout performances.
A 3–1 away defeat for Men’s 7s at Saffron Walden 6s saw Chris Job score the Blueharts goal in a challenging fixture.
The Ladies' 7s suffered a difficult afternoon away at Rickmansworth 2s, falling to a 6–0 defeat.
Blueharts Men’s 8s continued their exceptional season with a dominant 4–0 home win over Hertford 6s. First-half goals from Max Barton and Stuart Dingley set the tone, before Zac Thomas added a second-half brace from penalty corners. A commanding defensive display secured another clean sheet and a fifteenth straight win, extending their lead at the top of the division to 19 points.
Another busy and competitive weekend for Blueharts, with plenty of positives to build on as the season rolls on.
